National Book Lovers Day

Or how I stopped worrying about binge-streaming and got back to reading

I had forgotten about this day until I pulled up the script from the podcast episode I released on August 9th of last year, where I gave book recommendations. Some background here before we get started. I did a podcast every day for a year, so I “got behind” with all the shows my friends talk about. I also love to read, and I’m usually quite the voracious reader. My reading pace has changed over the past few months, something I’m a little mad about.

Lately, the demands of starting a new job, having a commute, and life, have taken precedence over my regular reading schedule. I’ve got fantastic things going on, so don’t mistake this as a complaint. I’m just working through what’s happened with how I, and I’m guessing, a lot of us, spend our free time. Hopefully, I can come up with a workable solution by the end of this post. If not for me, at least then for you.
